Candle dipping

Every year around end of November, beginning of the December the school used to host a rather big Winter fair with a vendors market, food and lots of activities for the children. Sadly they took a break this year but the candle dipping, a very popular activity in the Winter Fair, still happened. We joined in last week and Marta and Liliana had their first candle making session. They got right to it and stuck to the task until they were finished. We made a candle each and brought home four beautifully smelling beeswax candles to warm up our festivities even more.

 

 

Todo ano por volta de final de novembro, início de decembro a escola costuma oferecer uma linda feira de inverno, com venda de artesanato, comidas e muitas atividades para as crianças. Infelizmente esse ano eles resolveram fazer um intervalo, mas a confecção de velas, uma atividade super popular na feira ainda aconteceu. Nós nos juntamos ao grupo na semana passada e Marta e Liliana fizeram velas pela primeira vez.  Cada um de nós fez uma vela e levamos para casa quatro lindas velas de cêra de abelha para aquecer ainda mais nossas festividades de Natal.
