Doll clothes

 

The doll is done! The pictures are taken but have not been edited yet. So for now I’m sharing the outfit I made for my red-haired boy doll. It was a bit of a marathon to get it all ready for the end of the school year but somehow I managed. I made a pair of trousers, a blouse, a vest and a hat. I also made boots, but alas, they didn’t turn out right.  For the blouse and the vest I used patterns from the book “Making Waldorf Dolls” by Maricristn Sealey. The trousers  I worked from a basic pattern  and widened the legs because I wanted the baggy look. The hat was a last minute addition. I was going to keep it simple,  but I felt that once I made the vest it needed a hat too.  It took me a bit of searching to find a pattern and I used the Trendy Newsboy Cap from Daydream Doll Boutique, a free pdf download originally made to fit a 18″ American Doll. The size turned out just right for my doll. It would have been perfect had I added the 1/4″ seam allowance. For some reason I assumed it was included in the pattern. My little guy looks very handsome! I’ll be sharing his picture soon.

O boneco está pronto! As fotos foram tiradas mas ainda não editadas. Então, por ora, vou mostrar a roupa que fiz para o meu menino de cabelos vermelhos. Foi uma maratona para acabar tudo a tempo para o último dia de aula, mas eu acabei. Eu fiz um par de calças, uma blusa, um colete e um chapéu. Eu até cheguei a fazer botas, mas deu errado. Para a blusa e o colete eu usei os moldes do livro “Making Waldorf Dolls” por Maricristn Sealey. Para as calças eu usei um molde básico e alarguei as pernas porque queria estilo baggy. O chapéu foi uma decisão de último minuto. Uma vez que eu fiz o colete achei que precisava de um chapéu também. Eu precisei fazer uma boa pesquisa para achar um molde e acabei usando o Trendy Newsboy Cap da Daydream Doll Boutique, um pdf grátis feito originalmente para a boneca American Doll de 45 cm. O tamanho ficou ótimo para o meu boneco. Tivesse eu adicionado os 6 mm da costura teria ficado perfeito. Por alguma razão eu achei que estava incluído no desenho. Meu boneco ruivo está muito elegante. Fotos em breve!
