Ishbel
Today is a day to be proud! I finished, after trying for three years, this beautiful shawlette called Ihsbel by Ysolda Teague. I first tried to make Ishbel in the summer of 2012. I took it to the cottage as my holiday project, but alas, it wasn’t to be. I just kept messing it up. I tried again the following year, same thing, holiday project at the cottage and nope. I think I skipped 2014 but this year… I took it to the cottage again and I made it!!! It isn’t that this is a hard project. It is not. But in my previous attempts I wasn’t in the right headspace for it. You see, it is quite hard to knit lace when you have young children around, at least for me! 😉 Now that they are beyond needing my attention every five minutes I found pockets of time when I could fully immerse in it. I love the result and can’t wait for the autumn to show it off!
